At our arrival in Zimbabwe we got to see a dvd with all the excursion possibilities in the area. There were just too many. But we decided to go on a walk with lions, that was something Marieke wanted to do since we arrived in Africa, to go on a helicopter flight and to go on a boatcruise. We skipped the boatcruise as we had too less time and we wanted to do some souvenir shopping. On the first day in Zimbabwe we went at about 4pm on the lion walk. It was $100 while you were 30min with the lions..but I can tell you it's worth it!! We were in a group of 7. One american guy, 4 spanish and us. We met our lions, three male lions almost full grown, and we had the chance to cuddle with them as long as we approached them from behind. Then we went on a walk...we got to hold them by the tail and we were lucky the other participants were scared so we got our own lion for the entire walk. Pictures were taken and we said goodbye to the lions...this excursion was too good to be true. At the end we got food and beers and we bought a dvd which has been made during the walk.

On the last day at Vic Falls we actually decided to visit them as we already saw them from the air and there was just too less time to do everything (shopping basicly). Anyways, we had time left and went to the falls by ourselves. The entry fees are high but ofcourse worth it..taking pictures of the falls is hard as your camera gets wet all the time. You probably need an underwater camera! Also here, lots of baboons! A kool thing what you see here besides the falls are the rainbows..all over the place! Even on the paths..its awesome! You can easily spend 2 hours at the falls..

On the last day in Zimbabwe we had a rhino walk, a close encouter with the rhinos..we got very close to them and that made it really kool! Our guides were famous Discovery Channel people and they could actually kinda talk to the rhinos! We saw lots of rhinos (this was actually the first time we saw white rhinos after three weeks in Africa).
