Beautiful Goa This was a short family trip and though I had been to Goa earlier on an official trip this was our first real holiday in Goa. Had researched a bit on the net and zeroed in on south Goa. Wasnt very sure if this would be the right choice and didnt find any reference to the little resort we had chosen! Our first experience out of the airport was pleasant. We had an excellent driver and in 40 mins we reached Goa Beach resort. This little resort is located on fatrade beach, Varca, in south Goa. Its a pretty, smallish resort, 6 cottages and a few rooms, has a lovely swimming pool and a north indian kitchen. This came as a surprise but our kids werent complaining. The beach is beautiful. Kilometres of clean white sand, not many people around (the best part!) green palms, a variety of small sea shells aplenty. Bluish green expanse of sea....we loved it and have been wanting to go back since! The staff at the resort were polite and helpful. The guests would normally chose to visit north Goa and we had the entire place almost to ourselves. I didnt miss the sunrise even once in the 5 days we were there. The suns rays shine on the waves and the beach takes ona different look altogether. Its also relatively cool in the mornings. We would go back to the beach after breakfast and return for a late lunch after a soothing dip in the pool. Poolside drinks follwed by lunch or snacks followed by a nap in the neat cottage or lazing with a book by the pool....bliss it was. |
