Suzie Q Cafe

One of the Valentine Diners built in 1948 and named for its designer, Arthur Valentine (1891-1954), that were prefabricated in Wichita KS 1938-1970 and shipped across the US. Inside there’s one counter, ten stools, lots of Coca Cola products & memorabilia, and a Pepsi twelve pack used as a doorstop.

Suzie Q Cafe’s specialty: conversation and the tasty 'Spic-n-Span', a peppery deep fried pork tenderloin (schnitzel) sandwich. The omelet sandwich also looked good, but the Spic-n-Span with french fries was a full meal.

hours: 08:00 - 16:00, closed Sundays
location: 14 Second Street NW

The building's prefab, the food is not.
