Lido di Ostia,
the public beach, is the third 'Ostia' train stop when arriving from Rome. It's my favorite beach in the world because of its proximity to Rome. Most of Lido Di Ostia is lined with private cabanas, some that you are able to rent. It looks like a scene from 1960's vintage Italian movies. Bring a towel. On my first visit I had a surprisingly long search near the public beach to find even an expensive one to purchase.
