Troodos Mountains

A beautiful excursion to the Troodhos Mountains

When planning for our Cyprus holiday, my husband & I were well aware that we would be passing our 5th Wedding anniversary on this beautiful island and we wanted to do something special. So we decided to dedicate the 14th September to the Troodhos Mountains.
We searched onto the net for some excursions and we came across a Jeep Safari experience and we decided to book it. We met the Guy (who prented to be Adonis - reliving his days again in the 21st Century) and he took us in the mountains.

Amid the mountains

We were stopped for a short break from the rocky hills and all the bumps of the jeep, in the middle of the mountains where bunches of grapes were found everywhere. We, literally could reach out and get the grapes and eat them right away. They were delicious. We then moved on to another place. There was a venetian bridge and we stopped to take a few photos and stretch out our legs. The atmosphere was magical and we really enjoyed ourselves

In the villages

We also visited some villages and stopped over to taste a delicious meze. It was fantastic. The village people are among of the most nicest. Last but not least we even visited the Caldonian Falls where I experienced the coldest water on earth: the eleven-metre falls is the largest one on the island. Mount Olympus is also great place to be too. From the peak you can also take a lance at the Turkish side. Anyone can notice the huge British radar which is place onto the top.
