This unfortunate hotel posses a charming exterior positively contributing to the delightful cosmopolitan embrace of the spirited city of San Francisco. While mingling its brilliant external appearance with that of the city ambience is laudatory, tragically, these superficial blessings are soiled by insensitive and careless attitudes on the part of staff. People are the heart of the hospitality profession and the people providing services at this cursed property are, frankly, heartless. A fruit rots from the inside out. The causes of the fermentation at this property are unknown to me but the fermentation is nevertheless evident. While I will never fathom the reasons for the interpersonal callousness I experienced during my stay, I do feel, and, as a feeling being, I do know the experience at the Handlery Union Square was shamefully unpleasant. The facilities, rooms, and amenities were satisfactory but no better than ordinary. Unfortunate and tragic.

Unique Qualities: Good location on Geary Street but rather ordinary facilities. Rooms are clean but decor was uninspiring.
