Namibia is a fascinating country which belongs to the last nature paradises on earth.
After having been a colony for more than 100 years the country and it's people are searching for their own political, economical and cultural identity today.
Namibia's nature is as different as the climate is. Very dry and arid in the south, at the coast and in the Kalahari, quite moderate in the central highland around Windhoek, and wet and tropical in the north and north east.
Highlights are: the Highland with Windhoek, the Namib with the world's highest dunes, the Fish River Canyon, the Skeletton Coast with ship wrecks and a large seal colony, the rock paintings and gravings at different places, Etosha pan, the Okavango and Kwando, two big rivers in the north, the Caprivi Stripe with Mudumu Nationalpark.
