The Village

I took the bus one Sunday from Colchester to the very picturesque village of Dedham. The village is to the north of Colchester, off the A12 Road.My sole reason for going was to visit the Sir Alfred Munnings Art Museum. He is my favourite equestrian artist. The weather was great and there are some nice typical village pubs to be utilised. The Parish Church of St Mary has the painting of The Ascension by John Constable on permanent display. The church is well worth a visit.I'll always remember the place .because I seen the tallest transvestite ever walking in the grounds. The second glances and looks he/she got from some of the people made me laugh.I asume he wasn't a local.
Anyway I digress, the best pub for those more down to earth is the one nearest Castle House.I had quite a few and had a good laugh with the locals before getting the last bus back to Colchester.
