You can see here two ladies who just lost their passports, their wallets and other valuables. Yup - that's me and my sister Marifi (wearing a white hat). We looked at the landmark from every angle. It was fun to discover the streets that meet at this point. Although we planned to shop non-stop, not having our cash and credit cards made that impossible so we just strolled, went to museums and laughed about our experience. By the way, Museum Marmottan Monet is worth seeing!
What do daughters give their fathers when the latter turns 65? I invited my father to Vienna and Paris. He enjoyed it I think because he didn't mind the long queue at the Eiffel Tower. I enjoy going up on Gustav's masterpiece then and now.
I feel like I am a part of something when I am in this huge museum. So much to appreciate and time is not enough to see everything.
- Pros:Arts, music, cuisine, architecture, romantic language
- Cons:My bag got stolen - need I say more? And my pockets and bags keep opening up whenever I am in the metro.

From the airport, I went to Gare Du Nord and from there took Metro 4 to Porte de Clignancourt. The hotel is just a few... more travel advice

Thanks for posting that unusual tip about the nice African artist at the flea market at Porte de Clingnancourt. Too bad he will never be rich, but it’s good that his buyers will never be poor from buying his paintings. Also as I realized from reading one of your tips, I have never been to the Musée Marmottan Monet, though I was up in that neighbourhood last February. I enjoyed meeting you last month at the VT meetings in Paris. Hope we can meet again sometime.

Great museum tips. It is a night in the museum - all the paintings, sculptures from my college history of art book in 3D. Mona Lisa is small but the paintings like the Salon in D'Orsay is just awesome.
Louvre Museum is also one of our favourite museums in the city of Paris. We have not seen Musee Marmottan Monet. It looks interesting from your description. We hope to visit the museum one day. ~ho & pang

I also had my purse 2x almost stolen in the metro of Paris. I could feel somebodys hand on my purse but he/she could not garb it, because I had fixed it with my thumb
Yes, my friend from japan also lost everything like you. He was checking in the famous George V hotel and left his bag for a short moment. It was gone. I tell everybody to hold on her/his bag all the time. Have good evening.
