Afghans come here to bathe and have picnics.

Usually the water is as blue as the sky. In here, the water is bluer than the sky.

Pros and Cons

Pros:The lakes will remain as one of the wonders of Afghanistan as the government has prohibited fishing in there.
Cons:Adequate toilets should be provided to visiting tourists be they local or foreigners.

Wonderful and interesting Bamiyan travel page with superb photographs. Bamiyan seems to have quite a lot of interesting tourist attractions especially the lakes, mountains and the site of the large Buddha. Thanks for the virtual tour. ~ho & pang
