"Band-e Amir Lakes" Bamiyan by Penelope4

Bamiyan Travel Guide: 49 reviews and 110 photos

Afghanistan is known for its Band-e Amir Lakes. There are 7 lakes which come one after the other. You'll see one in here.

Afghans come here to bathe and have picnics.

Usually the water is as blue as the sky. In here, the water is bluer than the sky.

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:The lakes will remain as one of the wonders of Afghanistan as the government has prohibited fishing in there.
  • Cons:Adequate toilets should be provided to visiting tourists be they local or foreigners.

Wonderful and interesting Bamiyan travel page with superb photographs. Bamiyan seems to have quite a lot of interesting tourist attractions especially the lakes, mountains and the site of the large Buddha. Thanks for the virtual tour. ~ho & pang
