Antalya: the city of joy!

by persian_hiker - last update: Nov 4, 2007

sity for out going

"konyalty" beach
When I arrive to antalya (august 2007) from east side, I realized that it's to big to imagine before .I couldn’t see big mansions with wide yard as seen in north of Iran. Peoples spend their dinners in the large amount of restaurants that keeping chairs in the pedestrian.
Most of houses in the evening are with turning off lights, I think these peoples spend their time out of their homes. This is not so fare of mind because the weater is very nice in this time.
Beach Park is dreaming places for walking in the night, very quiet and clean, in late time you can find clubs near the beach with music and turning lights.
Duden water fall is near the old city with clean water (with passing the city, how clean is this!) I hear about waterfalls out of city that we can walk behind them and for rafting.

victory celebrating

I was lucky because the celebrating of victory of turkey against Greece (zafar bairami) was in days that I was there .I watch fire game in the city park near Lara beach. The young girl singer (Hande yener) was singing alone: Romeo, Romeo!
peoples are dancing and singing with her. Some of neighbors was bringing plastic chairs from homes and sitting around park. I spend happy times about 3 hour's.
In the beach park I found Latin dance festivals with some youth and teens dances: salsa and tango and some other kinds. Some of dancers were from Russia. I saw Russians and eastern Europeans are in large amounts in turkey. In the aqua park I saw some the dancer girls that are master stroking in the stage!

aqua park

"Aqua Park" is very funny with skating rinks and water pools full of Russians, Iranians and other peoples. I watched dancers match with swimming dresses on the stage that danced with Turkish, Arabic and Iranian music. (A glass of whisky was about 5$ in the Jacuzzi bar)
I wondered that some of Turkish crafts were expensive from Iran, It was for texts (said K.D.V) for examples Turkish beer was 5 Y.T.L about 4$ in the beech and 3 Y.T.L in the markets. Fortunately I sell themes in my city about 2.2$ 
Peoples are very friendly and calm. I encountered some Kurds in Antalya,I think Kurds and Turks are not in the trustful situation.
Shops are very various, but you must bargain with them! In a leader store that presents a fashion show I brought a jacket from 250$ to 125$ ;-)
