My son and I travel to Cincinnati every year for the past 5 yrs. for a mother/son bonding trip to watch the Bengals football team play.

Although it is not a winning team, we always have had a great time. Good food, nice accomodations, and decent entertainment.

Cincinnati isn't a nightmare to drive in either, easy access to get on and off the interstate.

In front of Jeff Ruby's restaurant

We try to get reservations every year for the Precinct Restaurant. It is an old precinct, converted into a restaurant. It is small and cozy. Food is excellent, but a little pricey. Service is very good. The bar is small, seats about 4 to 6 people.

Montgomery Inn is a very good restaurant as well, it is on the riverfront. Famous for its ribs. Lots of sports memorbilia. And this year, we found a walking path that went from the restaurant into town. It was a very nice, well-groomed trail to walk.

Jeff Ruby's. Very good, the atmosphere was nice, typical steakhouse decor. Prices were pretty steep, but the food was very good, service was good, however, I felt a little rushed.

• Cons:Shopping - stores close early, even on Saturday!
