So, yes, this was where I went on my honeymoon. Not very original. But, VERY relaxing. I can't say I have traveled Mexico extensively, therefore I can not tell you if this place is like "real" Mexico. It seems that most hard core travelers look at this as unauthentic and as a tourist trap. Travel two miles away from the tourist section, and it seems like real Mexico to me.

OK, it's sunny. It's hot. But you just can't swim hardly anywhere. Even the sea of Cortez which is supposed to be more swimmable seemed way too scary. This is a picture of the Pacific where you absolutely can never.....ever....swim. But it was so beautiful and relaxing to be around.

We drove north to Todos Santos, across the peninsula and then south through the mountains. Tell me this isn't "real" Mexico. There were small villages everywhere......livestock crossing the road ahead of you...pigs, cows, goats.....you name it.

I think there is something for everyone down here.
