What the World needs more off...

A smile can change your life... fot the better.

Young Bedouin Woman in Petra
While exploring the ruins at petra I came across this young woman, who saw me aproaching her and noticed that my knee was bleeding, yes I had fallen earlier and injured myself, she stoped me and asked me if I was ok, ofcourse I said yes, but she was not satisfied with my answer, and in reality my leg was bleeding quite a bit and, let be onest, it hur a little, she offered to clean my wound, and cover it with a piece of coth so it wouldnt get dirty again. To me that was one of the most amazing moment I have ever had with a stranger, here is a person who has never seen me before did not know who I was, nothing and she took the time to take care of me, and not asking for or expecting a thing in return. That is what humanity is... that is what people should do on a regular basis for one another. To conclude this comentary, I wanted to include her picture because this brings me to another point; Just before I left I asked her if I could take her picture, and she sayd yes, mind you very shy about it, as i was getting ready to take the picture she smiled and let me tell you something, it was that type of smile that stops you and stays with you... needles to say the picture won't show you what i saw since i hesitated for a second and missed it, but maybe it was better that way since that smile was meant for me... (I don't want to sould vain or selfish about it).
Me at the Siq near the treasury

Petra Jordan - Amazing

Absolutly amazing place...
A must see at least once in your life.
There are so many things to see and do here, from the initial walk through the Siq, with all the carvings on the wall, to the LONG climb up to the Monastary, Petra Jordan is an amazing and magical place, with its wonderful people its just the right balance to make this an unforgetable experience.
Djbouti Security Officer and Me...

Putting our lifes on the line

Here I am in Djibouti, Africa.
In this picture I am with a man whom up unitil that eaving, I had never meet, and yet we were both going to spend 6 hours that night on a small fiberglass boat working together, well actually there was one more individual onborad, we were part of the security force responsible for the safety of my Cutter, (a Coast Guard Vessel). Listen spending the night with a stranger in bad enough, in this case there was also a mayor lenguage barrier, I do not speak french, much less their style of french, but I still managed to comunicate with them. However if you look at the picture you will see that I took it, well thats because I could not get the other individual to take the picture, again lenguaje barrier. he did eventually take a picture of us but it was not a good one so I kept this one. Still it was an interesting night.
The Bull and me

Spain land of the Bulls

In Spain I had a great time, I went to Spain for 3 days and had plans to go to Portugal as well, but fell in love with Sevilla, here is a city with great atmosphere, amazing food and sights, a few friends and I ended up staying at a Hostel rather then an expensive hotel, adn it was a great experience, and it was right in the middle of everything.
On the north eastern side of the island

Aruba - A desert jewel in Paradise

Aruba is a desert island, at least it looks that way, but it is full of life and beauty... there are so many things to do here: snorkel, Swim, Lay on the Beach, even Casinos if you fancy that stuff... I do. Haha.
Either way its a place to have fun.
SeaHawks stadium in Seattle

Seattle WA

Here is one of those places that I have visited and thought, "you know I could live here" then again I have not been here during the winter months, but I am open to anything... So if give the oportunity I might take the plunge to the NorthWest...
Maybe.
A view of the bay

Beauty can be found anywhere

While wondering through Dutch Harbor, Alaska, I came accross this flowers near the bay, and just had to take a picture. One of the things I have come to realize as I have traveled the world is that there is beauty every where you just have to learn to find it.
Brent D. and me on our last trip.

Last trip on the Mighty Munro

In may of 2005 I completed a 6 month deployment that took me arround the world, we actually circumnavigated the world, something I am very happy I was able to do. This picture showes me and a freind preparing for the traditional final transit under the Golden Gate Bridge, in which we throw our old boots over the side as we transit under the bridge. This is a moment filled with mixed emmotions for me, Happiness since I am finally going home, sadness since this travel experience is comming to an end.
Well I decided to share those experiences I had to date, both from my personal life and my military travels as well. hope you all like it.
