Gharb Travel Guide: 26 reviews and 68 photos

Gharb is a village located at the westernmost point of Gozo, with a population of just over 1500.It started life as a small hamlet several centuries ago,you can see its ancient roots in the centre of the village were some houses have fine examples of decorated stone balconies.Gharb was created as a parish in 1679,a move which led to the building of the Baroque style parish church.
The village lies in some of Gozo's most scenic countryside, particularly at 'Dbiega' the highest hill on the island. The centre of Gharb is always on the quiet side with a lovely square in front of the church and a local Folk Museum.
