When In Rome ... Since this is my motto, I felt I had to use it on my Rome page, hackneyed though it may be. Anyhow, I visited Rome a few years ago now and it was the first place in Italy I visited. Needless to say, it started a love affair with Italy that was to continue ever since. Rome is a wonderful city and one of the most atmospheric I have visited in terms of history. The Roman relics are truly amazing. The only history I was ever interested in at school was ancient Rome - to stand in the Colosseum and the Forum having read about them was a fantastic experience. |
