On opposite side of the Siene to where Princess Dianas memorial is. Quite respectable looking man walked towards myself and my husband. Suddenly stoops and says he has found a wedding ring. Stops us and asks if it belongs to us and then gives me the ring. We thank him and walk away only to have him run after us and ask for money for a coffee. My husband offered him some loose change(enough to buy a snack) which was quickly rejected and demanded paper money. The ring was returned to him and we walked away. He followed us remonstrating for some time until my husband eventually told him in no uncertain terms where to go. This seems very plausable at first and having read about all the dangers to lookout for before our trip to Paris had never come across this one. Travellers beware!!
