There's something about Rome that takes a part of you, a part of your soul, and claims it as its own. It's as if that part of your heart will forever be laid siege to and forever under the spell of the incredible Italian city until the very day you die. One you visit Rome, nothing ever seems the same for you, and that emotion is one that will remain forever.
Blame it on being my first visit to Europe or my impressionalbe almost-teenage heart, but when I first visited Rome, only 2 months away from my thriteenth birthday, I was permanately changed and shaken from the core. Rome is my first a deepest love; Rome is my boyfriend and always will be. It's seductive Italian charm, beauty, and history was overwhelming for me. Not a day goes by I don't think about it.
