While visiting Paris, my husband and I were looking at the Seinne river right by the tunnel where Princess Diana was killed. This man (not very clean looking) came up to us and found a gold plain band wedding ring at our feet and claiming it was ours. we kept saying "no, no" and the man was very persistant in trying to give it to us. he grabbed my husband's hand and put the ring in his palm. He then was about to walk away but then turned back and asked for some money to get a coffee. He wanted a "reward" for "finding" our ring. my husband and i kept on saying no and we were trying to give back the ring. after a few minutes, this man finally realized that we were not giving in and took back the ring very mad and walked away. Be careful not to accept ANYTHING!!! you never know if they will go to police and try and say you "stole" it!!!!
