Donnybrook

Situated 36km south-east of Bunbury on the South Western Highway is a little town called Donnybrook. It was originally land holdings for the Irish immigrants and called Donnybrook after the same named town in Ireland.
Donnybrook has been famous for its local Jarrah trees mercilessly logged in the late 1800's to be used for railway sleepers, then to its use of the local stone-used in many Perth's old homes, and thru-out the south of the state, and in the building of some of Donnybrooks historical buildings.
Donnybrook now is the Apple Capital of the Country, made famous by the Granny Smith variety.
