Dubai is one of seven emirates which make up the United Arab Emirates, which has a total population of around 4,2 million.

The Federal capital is Abu Dhabi, about two hours drive away. Dubai is the commercial capital and has a population of about 1,5 million.

Dubai is the name given to both the city and the emirate itself, which stretches as far inland as Hatta, some 120 km away. Outside the city, most of the area is desert.

Dubai is an extremely cosmopolitan city. Apart from the local people-most men wear distinctive white robes known as dishdasha- there are significant numbers from India, Pakistan, Iran, Egypt, Lebanon, Palestine, the Philippines, Europe, the US and dozens of other countries.

Numerous languages are spoken but the English-speaking visitor will have no problems.

Dubai is an extremely safe city. There is very little crime and visitors can wander around without and worry, day or night- mugging is unknown!

You did an excellent job of describing this area, and the pictures are very good. Our daughter and husband are now on honeymoon in the city but could not get into the Burj al Arab. The fun ride sounds like the bus tour and sites from it.

no problems with man whatching bikini women, if they don't give problem,I was there with my partner to do kite surf:full of europeans, woman with childrens.....most of this man are not from EAU, but foreigner worker from Pakistan, Bangladesh.....

Uzivalo se u Dubaiju ;-) Stvarno ti je odlicna strana. Je li potpuno zavrsena? (mi imamo samo jednu potpuno zavrsenu - Neuchatel, a vidi venecijansku, ona nam je najbolja, i stigli smo negde do pola).
