Getting TO/AROUND: When driving on the main roads around Dungarvan the roads are generlaly in pretty good condition. Be warned that Dungarvan probably has more roundabouts than any other town in Ireland!!!
On the more narrow regional and coastal roads, take your time as these roads are not always in the best condition and visibility is not good. The roads are often very narrow especially on the coast road and a dividing line in the centre of the road is often non present. GO SLOW

Getting TO/AROUND: When driving in the Gaeltacht area be aware that all road signs are in Irish. For example Stop signs while still the same shape and colour as the rest of the contry has the word STAD printed on it. You will see "TAISTEAL GO MALL" on signs around the Gaeltacht too and this means "SLOW" which is good advise due to the often narrow and twisting roads in the area.

Getting TO/AROUND: There is no train service to Dungarvan so the only option to reach Dungarvan by Pubvlic Transoport is to take the national bus service (Bus Éireann) You can get a bus from Cork by getting the Cork to Waterford City bus which goes through Dungarvan (Coming from Waterford City take the Cork City bus) You can reach Dungarvan from Tipperary by catching a bus from Clonmel. Coming from Dublin you need to go to Waterford and change to the Cork bus.
