Nightlife Spot: The Local

The Local is a busy and atmospheric pub located in the Gratton Square in the centre of Dungarvan. The pub is very popular with locals and is very busy at the weekends and given its narrow breath can be very over crowded but in a good way. The pub usually has live music at the weekends and it is one of the best places in town to hear live traditional Irish music. The owner of the pub is a bohrán player with Danú and he often plays along with the musicians.

Nightlife Spot: The Moorings

The Moorings is a popular pub located on the quays of Dungarvan marina. The pub serves good pub grub during the day and at the weekends the pub is very popular with young and older people. There is a fine sized beer garden and smoking area to the rear of the pub and often has a DJ at the weekends.

Nightlife Spot: Davitt's

When looking for a nightclub in Dungarvan your choice is fairly limited. there are only two nightclubs in Dungarvan. One on either side of the bridge. Davitt's is on the Dungarvan side of the bridge on Davitt's Quay (just by the marina roundabout.) The nightclub is nothing spectacular but is fine for anyone looking for late drinks or a dance floor!

Nightlife Spot: Creation

The second nightclub in Dungarvan is Creation which is actually in Abbeyside on the other side of the bridge. The club is fine for a few late drinks and isn't bad for a town nightclub.

Nightlife Spot: Downey's

Downey's is another popular pub on O'Connell Street in Dungravan town centre. The pub has a mainly young crowd but the pub welcomes all visitors. The interior is dark and atymospheric with traditional wooden furniture and low wooden bar with traditional wooden partitions. All this typical Irish pub charm is topped off by an open fire.

Nightlife Spot: The Lady Belle

The Lady Belle is a busy central pub just off Grattan Square in Dungarvan. The clean and atmospheric pub has a strong maritime theme and the name of the pub refers to a ship 'The Lady Belle' which was a famous Dungarvan ship. The pub has two levels but the upstairs bar only opens on busy weekends. Downstairs there is often traditional Irish music sessions and the bar shows live sport on three TVs. Soup, Sandwiches and Tea and Coffee are available during the day.
