I visited Zakopane for 5 days in March 2005. The main purpose of my visit was for snowboarding.
It was fantastic. Poland is a relatively cheap place to visit. |
|  | Snowboarding I did most of my snowboarding at Nosal. My first glimpse of the slope was on the night I arrived.
I didn't actually make in onto the main slope, being the total beginner that I am. But I did make some progress. |
| | The town I did venture into Zakopane town on a few occasions. There were many shops where one could buy ski/snowboard equipment.
Lots of restaurants and pubs serving good food. Anything from Pizza to traditional Polish fare.
I took this photo on the way into Zakopane town but I don't even know what this building is. It's a wooden building. |
