Those who are fond of bathing and swimming will enjoy the thermal water pool Zelena Zaba, which is said to be the most highly situated thermal pool in Central Europe.
Deep under the ground there are hidden treasures in the form of bizarre caves and springs of mineral and thermal waters, which is the result of the volcanic activities in the Carpathian Mountains. Geysers of crystal clear water gave rise to the building of centres of recreation and health.
In the Vág river area you can find several Spas in Pöstyén, Nemõc and of course in Trencsénteplicz too.
The "Zelena zaba" - Green frog pool was built in 1937. Its 33 m long swimming pool is cut in the rock in the sunny part of the wood. Water in the pools is 29-33°C warm. In the swimming pool area there is also a children´s pool and a large terrace with restaurants.
In the 14th century the village of Trencsénteplicz was considered one of the best-known and loveliest spa resorts in the Hungarian Kingdom, it is located in the woody Sztrázsó mountain in the valley of the river Teplicska not far from city of Trencsén. Altitude is 272 m above the sea level. Thanks to its southern location is well protected from winds, and easily accessible to sunshine from the south. The ‘Music Summer is the oldest festival of chamber music in Central Europe.
The famous hungarian writer Mór Jókai called the village as the Pearl of Carpathian Mountains. The extraordinary healing properties of the climate of the area is well known also from the novel The Magic Mountain by Thomas Mann

By coincidence we were talking just the other day about The Magic Mountain by Thomas Mann. I must admit I only read the first one hundred pages and then got bogged down. (Though I like a lot of his other books, and his brother's books even more.)
Thermal pools are awesome...and I do agree, Slovakians are friendly and i had a great time when I visited Devin Castle near the capital...Norman :)
well, László, I know why some of Slovaks behave this way and I realy do not like it at all. They have asleept more than 100 years. What to do? Ignore them.
