The Netherlands has more museums per square mile than any other country in the world — and more than 40 of the finest museums are located in Amsterdam. | | Discovery of Amsterdam This might be the only city in the world that is better seen from the water. Because of this fact no visit is complete without a canal tour. This is the only tourist attraction that is popular with both locals and tourists, old and young folks alike. From Winston Crurchill to the Beatles and Nelson Mandela, almost all famous guests have made their acquaintance with the city from the deck of a canal cruise boat. There are enough attractions to see in the city to last a whole week! The boat trips are at their best when the sun is shining, there are a few seats outside in the back of the boat. ........more

| | One of the most liberal places in Europe Amsterdam is very often called as Venice of the North due to the fact that the city is located on more than 100 small islands linked together by more than 1000 bridges and this may be a surprise even to the locals; in Amsterdam eight - I mean eight - wind mills can be found. A voyage of discovery through Amsterdam does not have to cost that much. The I amsterdam Card holders do not only enjoy free entrance to 26 of Amsterdam’s most esteemed museums, but also free use of public transport, a free canal boat cruise and discounts at several attractions and restaurants. Some of these attractions are not only free, but pleasant and surprising events too. Their secret: they are well hidden! And never forget, the Netherlands is one of the most liberal places in Europe, legalizing sex and drugs
