Across from Split lies the Island Brac, the highest and by size the third largest island in the Adriatic. It is covered with pine woods, vineyards and olive groves and the world famous limestone been used in the construction of many important buildings of the world.
There are many bathing-places and resorts on Brac: Postire, Milna, Supetar. The island has something for everyone.
Bol, one of the coastal settlements on the southern side of the island, on the foot of the highest hill, Vidova gora. Bol is also the biggest tourist center of the island because of its world famous beach - Zlatni rat.
There, the grace of nature made everything better than man could do, proofing right those who claim that nature is the greatest artist.
The sea at the entire area is quite crystalline. On still days the stones on the sea-floor that are 30 feet down look only an arm's length away.
These make the Adriatic special.
The only miraculous fact is that, the creative passion of nature was unfolded in such abundance that one becomes breathless in presence of all that beauty.
- Pros:Bol beaches
- In a nutshell:Zlatni Rat, one of the Adriatic's most distinctive beaches

What a beautiful beach and the Plitvice Lakes National Park looks fantastic. Nice page!
Don't know that I could eat a sea urchin, much less a live one! Looks like a lovely place to visit :-)
Bol looks very lovely, wouldn´t mind visiting. What a strange name though "Bol" - bol means pain in the Serbian language, I wonder if it means something else in Croatian?
Nice page! I visited Split for one day only this past summer, but had no additional time to visit Brac. Having visited Croatia twice now, I think it is quite beautiful!
Fantastic little page about Bol, which we visited for 3 days last September. I even went for a swim at the famous Zlatni Rat beach. Well done. :-)
Yikes -- eating them alive..hmmm, ket me reconsider that --- might be a nice experience...okay, maybe...nice tip though!
Absolutely beautiful!!! I must visit Croatia sometime
