What a wonderful trip! truly the best vacation experience we have had! If you love pristine water, whale watching, daily excursions, you will love ALASKA! We did! We cruised with NCL (Norwegian) and will do it again! The rooms were even better than anticipated, the meals were unbelievable, and the scenery was breathtaking. We found the people at all the ports extremely friendly, the tour operators knowledgable and the store owners and restaurants well equipped to handle up to 10,000 people from 4-6 ships on a daily basis! This is almost unthinkable for those of us who were visiting!

We spent a few excursions, glacier walking! This is a great way to see the surrounding areas & get off the ship while in port. The Mendenhall Glacier is one of the oldest in the area and indeed a great day-trip! While here we saw bears, salmon, & whales froliking in the waters and walking on the shoreline near us. The scenery is unbelievably breathtaking and looks just like a photo on a calander or Hallmark card. Too good to be true!

The White Pass- Yukon Route runs along all the ports where your ship docks & does day trips to the interior. These include glaciers, Danali Park, wildlife sight-seeing tours and many more such as mining towns, etc. This is an excellent way to spend a relaxing day and still get a feel for the area.
