"Brtonigla - an Istrian hilltop town" Brtonigla by MikeBird
Brtonigla Travel Guide: 1 reviews and 2 photos
The small town of Brtonigla lies about 15 minutes drive inland from the coastal port and resort of Novigrad. We stayed in a rented house just outside the village but it was good to wander round the streets and we could buy daily purchases of bread and milk from the small bakers in town.
It seemed a quiet, sleepy sort of place but maybe that was because it was December and quite cool in temperature. People seemed to be inside in their houses in the warmth.
I don't think there is much to do in the town itself so you would need your own transport to get and explore which is what we did. See my Istria page for more details.
- Pros:Quiet and tranquil
- Cons:Great to use as a base for exploring
