Queensland is a very diverse state as it is one of the larger states and the outer areas differ greatly from Brisbane/gold coast. Although it is larger than NSW, QLD has a lesser population, although it is increasing steadily. The coastline of Queensland includes the famous ‘great barrier reef’ thus the entire state has fairly tropical beaches, although places like the gold and sunshine coasts are fairly typical beaches, sandy, sunny and filled with life.
Queensland is basically the most tropical state of Australia.

Queensland is a very touristy state. The Great Barrier Reef is extremely beautiful and worth a visit. The state also contains Australia’s largest amount of themeparks which are all worth a visit, especially Dreamworld. If you are after wildlife then places like Australia Zoo are definitely a place to visit.
