Australia in general

Intro

I have lived in Australia since 2003, specifically Queensland. It is quite a friendly place and most people would be happy to help. It seems to me to be very multicultural with people from so many different nationalities living here. It is very safe to visit and/or live in.
It isn't excactly stereotypical, "g'day mate", "shrimp on the barbie" but you do get the typical aussie boganish bloke type, females too actually. It is full of beaches and desert in the inner regions but also it has big cities and normal suburbs and plenty of greenery, along with the natural gum trees.

Lifestyle

Australian's are very big on their sport, especially football/rugby. Most kids play sport in primary of some form and it is taught in all schools as a compulsory subject.
There are plenty of recreational activities to do, from museums to beaches to parks to ice skating rinks.
The weather is generally sunny although big storms erupt occasionally, especially in summer.
Medical care is widely avaliable.

Should I visit?

If you are looking for a sunny, relaxing holiday then Aussie would be perfect for you. If you want somewhere cold, maybe snow, then Australia isn't really good for that.
