"The Reflection of My Eyes" DownByLaw's Profile

I’m a first generation Portuguese-American who was born and raised in Providence, Rhode Island. My folks are from Graciosa and they migrated to the United States during the early 1970s. They originally landed in Massachusetts where there was (and still is) a large Portuguese community, but eventually made their way to Providence, Rhode Island where they worked as janitors for Brown University for well over twenty years. I’m extremely proud of my heritage and have made frequent trips to my parent’s country thus far. I love visiting the Azores Islands because I am able to stay in touch with my roots, learn more about my culture, and most importantly, speak with my grandfather who I adore very much. My grandpops still lives in Graciosa and owns a fairly large vineyard.

Well, this is my background. I hope it will do for now. I am new to this sight and still trying to figure things out. I will post pictures of stuff as soon as I can.
