"Naturally cute" Irkutsk by Nuclei

The name of Irkutsk always recalled with the name of Lake Baikal. I find it little unfair to this cute city. During my Trans Siberian trip from SPB to Vladivostok, Irkustk was the city I liked most. It has the warmth of a Mediterranean city which is almost impossible to find in Russia. On the shores of Angara River, Irkutsk has its own character.

Wooden houses in Irkutsk

May be one of the main reasons that make this city so cute is the wooden houses spreaded throughout the city. Some of them are and renovated but most are still as they are.

Angara River together with Selenga and Yenisei rivers and Lake Baikal, constitute the world's longest river.
