I saw kids playing around in the Bächle to escape the heat, but not sure if I'd do it myself... :-)

Freiburg is certainly one of the better places to visit in Germany.

Local tradition has it that if you step into one of these Bächle by mistake you are destined to stay in Freiburg and marry someone from there.
