Why Bratislava?

I spent one afternoon in Bratislava as part of a day-trip from Vienna. It's hard to resist the temptation of visiting a new country, even for only a few hours.

The hlavná stanica train station didn't look that clean, but the old town area was pretty nice. I walked all the way from the train station, passing the Grassalkovich Palace (or Presidential Palace) on my way to the old town.

Having a map would be nice, but I managed to get around without using any map. Just follow the other tourists and when in doubt ask the next guy on the street... :-)

I got all the way to the river, and had an ice cream next to the boat docks. It was Saturday afternoon in July and surprisingly there were not that many tourists, even around the Hviezdoslav Square.
