"Kuakata, the beach where sun rises and sets down" Kuakata by reazbd

Kuakata is situated at the southern part of Bangladesh. It is under the district of Potuakhali. The road transportation from the capital city, Dhaka, is not too good. Only few buses used to go there twice a day. But travelers do one thing. They used to go Barishal first (nearby city of Potuakhali) by launch or steamer and then take local bus to Kuakata.

It takes almost 12 hours on launch or steamer to reach Barishal from Dhaka. After reaching Barishal, you can take your breakfast there. There are many restaurants at the Steamer Ghat (where steamer stops). Before leaving Barishal, don’t forget to confirm your return ticket on launch or steamer.

After taking breakfast, you can take a local bus to go to Kuakata. It will take almost 5 hours to reach Kuakata, but it depends on five ferries and road condition. If the ferries are late and road is bad, then it will take longer time and you will experience a very bad journey.
