A breath of fresh air. | ...playing with the deer at Llogora Tourist Park |
Our itinerary heading south from Vlora to Saranda (at least that was the idea when we set off) necessitated passing through Llogora both on the way there and back.
It was never the intension to stay there, but after a number of problems with hotel bookings and otherwise uninspiring options, it was an excellent last minute change to our plan.
Again, the only disappointment was the tonnes and tonnes of rubbish everywhere, even within the stunningly beautiful national park.
The day we were to leave we intended to go for a walk in the national park, but it was rather hot and so we limited ourselves to a brief exploration. It is a shame that there is not a better developed system of signage and paths, or perhaps there is but like everything else in Albania, it's difficult to find out information about it?
Anyway, the place we stayed was a piece of quiet and tranquillity amidst the chaos in Albania and it restored some of our hope and energy for the final assault on Vlora before heading back to Italy. |
