This is among the first things we're taught at the geography classes: Romania is crossed from North to West by the arch of Carpathians, by Danube at the south and is bordered at Est by the Black Sea.

What we're not taught is the beauty it hides from our eyes: from its spectacular mountain hiking tracks, to the pleasure of fishing in the Danube Delta, from the joy of its folk songs and dances to the flavors of its food.

What else should you know before coming here?

Besides all the info you can read in a travel guide, keep in mind that:
- "we were all born politicians or coaches of the national football team":
- Romania is a majority christian orthodox country (which means our Easter doesn't necessarily coincide with the Catholic one;
- most of our traditional food is based on pork: mainly sarmalute (minced pork and veal, wrapped in cabbage leaves and cooked in the oven)and ciorba de burta (a dish made of cows' stomach - it's tastier than it sounds :) );
