Down in the fast place, shady side of Bangkok is the hilarious place that's a must for anyone in Bangkok. On one side of the bar is two rotating carosels with a go-go show that plays all night. But on the other side is a full sized mechanical bull! It's free to ride and if you last 60 seconds, you get a free drink. I actually made the 60 seconds, but you really have to hold on for dear life since the operator spins you around frantically for the last 10 seconds of your ride. An absolute laugh and a half if you head down with a group of people!

This two storey pub is one of those infamous joints that people go once and then end up always making weekly appearances. Popular with 20s and 30s english teachers and older business executive, Woodstocks offers happy hour pints for 90 bahts and awesome service by one of the three Jen's and Mint. The place is a mash of wood panelling and furniture (the staff will always slip a coaster under your beer because of the thick wood tables). The age old and infamous zigzag pirate and santana's 'black magic woman' are just some of the recognizable characters that stare down at you from their posters on every wall. The pool table always has a waiting list, so make sure you write down your name. While we wait to play, we usually pick out a ton of free tunes for the jukebox. It's a perfect, after-work scene.

Right off the main street of Ekkamai, you can find TUBA. It's a chilled out, ecclectic scene with artwork of nude women and dali like designs, phallic door handles and sombraro hats. We usually head down from 5-9 for their half price cocktails and oversized cusky seats. My fav: the massive mojitos that take two hands to pick up. YUM!

We headed down to RCA where there's a bit younger of a scene (I'm 25 and t looked like most people were about 5 years younger than me). Decent bars were down the strip. Near the beginning of the strip, on the left, there's a bar where when you have to go to the bathroom, you walk through these little doors. On the other side, instead of the typical bug ridden squat toilets, is a a full out bathroom lounge, with 5 peice band. An attendant quickly noticed me, radioed the other attendants about free stalls, and excorts you to the newly available one. Hilarious! Check it out. It's too bad I can't remember the name of the place.

A bunch of my friends go here all of the time and brought me out once. There's an entire wall of hot sauces, hundreds or types of margaritas, and amazing food. On Saturday's, there's a free type of margaritas for the ladies (doesn't been a girl have bonuses once in a while!).
