| Kipper Butterfly on the South Shore |
November is here and the tress are losing their leaves. Its in some ways sad, as the trees will soon be bare, and winter cant be far behind. The days are cooler and nights are cold as we approach the holidays. But oh, cant wait until its Spring once again.
Long Island is just that, an island. It is bordered to the west by the NYC. To the north, Long Island Sound. To the south and east, the Atlantic Ocean. Here on the island, one can find a great wealth of places to see and discover. From sandy beaches to world class shopping malls, and from wonderful gardens to a great array of parks and preserves. For outdoor enthusiasts, there is fishing, hiking, bird watching, cycling, etc. For lovers of culture and the arts, thre are museums, concert halls, and many historic sites. And for sports fans, there is the Nassau Collessium, home of the New York Islanders Hockey Team.
So, whether it be Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall, Long Island has it all. There is something for everybody. |
