Brussels is the capital of Belgium and has that old world feeling that many other european capitals. It is a cosmopolitan city with a mix of old and new. It has great museums and many old and historic buildings. It is also the capial of the European Union.
A visit to Brussels is required for any visit to Belgium. Waffles and Lace are products the city is famous for. More the reason to visit this vibrant city.

Maurizioago Fri May 1, 2009 18:04 UTC I'll try some beers and waffels in Brussels next week. Ciao! | Martinewezel Mon Mar 26, 2007 20:51 UTC Nice page! I have never been in restaurant 't Kelderke. Nobody is a prophet in his own country. I'll be in Brussels in a couple of days and... who knows? Thanks for the tip! And... have a nice time in Paris soon ;-) | johanl Thu Feb 1, 2007 19:07 UTC interesting page on Brussels. How about visiting the other parts of Belgium on your next trip. | breughel Wed Jan 24, 2007 17:54 UTC I liked your outsider's view on my town, but … you don't drink beer! Next time try one of our Trapist beers. We don't brew beer; we are brewing nectar. |
