Site of Massive Granite Formations

Zion National Park is more or less stuck away in the rugged southwestern corner of the state of Utah. It is not far from Bryce Canyon National Park, but its massive rock formations offer a stark contrast from the almost-delicate appearances found in Bryce.

Since our visit in 1988, this park has undergone some major changes. There is now a new visitor center, and cars are no longer allowed on the scenic road. You must ride the park shuttle.

It's been 10 years since I've been here, but Zion is still my favorite national park!
