Dinosaur National Monument

Twenty miles to the east of Vernal, Utah, lies a remarkable find - 300 square miles of high desert canyon country containing an incredible deposit of dinosaur bones and fossils. Dinosaur National Monument sits astride the Utah/Colorado border reaching toward the northeast corner of Utah.

Besides dinosaur viewing, the canyon country offers some hiking and white water rafting opportunities.

The breathtaking view of the Green and Yampa Rivers is from Harpers Corner.

Great page! I see I've missed something here. I've been so close to Vernal, but I ran out of time to visit Dinosaur National Monument.
