Get off the Interstate to see Wamego!

Once again, here is one of those small Kansas towns, within a few minutes of I-70, that has much to offer the visitor who will just take the little extra time.

Here you will find the historic Columbian Theatre, and old Dutch Windmill and museum, its newest attraction - the Oz Museum, and some nice shopping opportunities.

The Tulip Festival

Our visit in 2004 was brief, as we were passing through on the way to an appointment, but I've had the opportunity to spend more time on several occasions since. Most recently, I went to see Wamego's Tulip Festival, in April 2010.

I love these little towns, and my grandchildren especially enjoyed the Oz Museum when we were there last summer. Nice page!
