"Greeley, Kansas" Greeley by basstbn

Greeley Travel Guide: 2 reviews and 4 photos

Greeley is a tiny village (pop. 333) in a rolling, wooded area of eastern Kansas. The primary reason to stop in Greeley is to visit the Valentin Gerth cabin. Gerth was the first European settler in Anderson County, and built this cabin in 1856. It has since been moved into a park-like setting in Greeley near the banks of Pottawatomie Creek. It has been conjectured that the cabin was a station on the underground railway, hiding escaped slaves from the south.
