Unincorporated village near Topeka

Dover is a tiny town on the bend of a road - Kansas Highway 4, a popular route for bicyclists. Dover boasts a church, an implement dealer, an 1898 mercantile building that is now re-opened as a cafe, an old gas station which is a sometimes antique store, and best of all - the historic Sage Inn and Stagecoach Station. Built as a home for abolitionist settler Alfred Sage, it was located next to one of the few spots where Mission Creek could be forded and became a natural spot for a stagecoach stop. The Inn is now a bed and breakfast.
