For such a small town, Baldwin City offers a lot to see and do. While best known for the Maple Leaf Festival, Baldwin has a number of historic sites and some fun activities.

It Happens Every October - the Maple Leaf Festival

It's a parade!

No - not Octoberfest, at least not in this town. But what you do find is a typical midwestern fall festival with lots of entertainment, foods, crafts, and a parade with lots of bands. An those flaming red maple trees!!

Baker University

Baker University, founded in 1858, was Kansas' first liberal arts university. It is a learning institution of the United Methodist Church. The picturesque campus houses several historic buildings and a museum of rare Bibles.

Another excellent page. I would especially love the railroad. And a fascinating bit about the Civil War that didn't know.
