"Going to Elgin for Winger" Elgin by oznztofro

on May 2nd 2010 i board a plane from JFK that took me out to Chicago.

I was on my way to a small town of Elgin to attend Melodic rock fest 2 at the roadhouse.

So i got a city pass that took me on a subway to Harlem

Then i paid an extra 25c to get the bus to the train station

It was a Sunday the trains only ran every 2 hours

So i then got on the train that took me out to Elgin

then i had to catch a cab to my Super 8 motel

After a little while i started walking to the roadhouse. Google maps told me to walk through a freeway & so i did it.

I got to the venue & a really nice Nerd chick loved my vest she brought me a beer & we Kissed

Winger were so Awesome that night. Kip Winger is my hero.

I miss my 10am flight to Boston because the trains only run every 60 minutes in elgin

Plus there were NO AIRPORT SHUTTLES OUT IN ELGIN

• Pros:Melodic roc fest, scenic train trip, cheap motels
• Cons:Bad transport, No buses around elgin, Had to walk through freeways to get to this gig
• In a nutshell:Never hold a rock fest out in a city that has bad transport
