Living in California with it's beautiful beaches, national parks and happening cities, I took my neighboring state of Arizona for granted for a few years. "What's there to see or do in Arizona," I would ask myself. Well, to my assuming surprise, there is an awesome amount of beautiful nature in Arizona - I mean awesome in the "out of this world" sense, not just in the day-to-day usage.
Sedona is an easy weekend getaway destination for people living in Southern California. It's a hop, skip and a jump from LAX to Phoenix or Flagstaff and a pleasant 1.5 hour drive to Sedona - where you will be flabbergasted by incredible natural beauty. Sedona has a lot to offer visitors and locals alike - from mountainous outdoors activities, and world-class spas nestled in the red rocks, to interesting eclectic traditions surrounding mythical (or not) energy fields and crystals. There's something for everyone. Personally, I go there for the outdoors activities and the spas. Check out my tips!

Great tips and I love your photographs. Enjoyed viewing them. That is what i like about travel, you see things locals may not have seen.
I am finishing my flydrive in Sedona for 4 nights at the end of October before flying back to UK. Thanks for tips.
