Location –
The Le Meridien is in a prime position within minutes from all the major attractions. The Opera House across the road, Spanish horse riding – 5mins. St Stephens – 10mins and central shopping district – 5 minutes walk. Perfect for a weeks stay in Vienna. It cost approx Euro40.00 taxi from the airport.
Room –
Our room 516 is very chic, modern, spacious and contemporary with a wonderful detail of design. The room consists of a king size bed, side tables, small chair, ottoman, coffee table, two good size working desks with high speed internet, large dressing mirror with an ironing board and hairdryer tucked behind it. A super large plasma TV attached to the wall, mini bar, tea and coffee facilities, a spacious wardrobe with plenty of hanging space and cupboards. Excellent curtains with switch button to operate.
Bathroom –
An ultra modern and hi-tech bathroom with brilliant spa shower, a lovely pink claw bath, toilet, small vanity unit with excellent make-up mirror, scales , and a fashionable stainless steel towel rack, with Deco glazed walls. The only problem was as others have mentioned
was the water from the shower leaking all over the floor. (Tip- place towel on outside rim) before turning on.
Restaurants –
There are two restaurants – Shambala Restaurant which serves a modern fusion cuisine, the Café Boulevard which serves light meals/ breakfast and coffee. There is also a small bar just beside the restaurant called the Shambala Bar.(very trendy)and fab for a nightcap. Dinner was excellent.
Swimming Pool –
The pool can be extremely difficult to find, its located on the –E1 (lowest floor) and has a separate lift to it, which is located beside the bar. It’s a very small jet lap pool with a spa . Next door is the well equipped gym.
Parking –
Public parking is available underneath the hotel. It cost approx E30.00 for the day.
Unique Qualities: Overall – We stayed here for four days and basically we thought the hotel to be ideal for position. The rooms are spacious and extremely comfortable and modern. I have given this hotel a 5 star rating primary for its gorgeous rooms.
